Basler Electric Company is committed to maintaining material compliance to meet regulatory requirements and its customers’ needs. To meet this commitment, we have developed processes to demonstrate product compliance with regulations on a global scale, including, but not limited to, RoHS (EU, UK and China, at this time), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), European Union Commission (EUC) Regulation, (EC) No 1907/2006 Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and California Proposition 65. Our compliance processes are periodically reviewed and updated based on changing regulations and industry best practices.

In light of the regulatory focus on perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), Basler is expanding its PFAS material compliance objectives. Our PFAS compliance efforts are designed not only to comply with our regulatory compliance obligations, such as the recent TSCA Section 8(a)(7) Reporting and Record-Keeping Requirements for PFAS, but also to provide information to our customers.

We are currently conducting the necessary detailed supply chain analysis to determine which of our products may contain PFAS. Basler is actively engaged in obtaining necessary information from our suppliers and will report PFAS content on impacted products based on available information through Basler’s existing customer notice process.

As a result of its supply chain analysis, Basler will also address design changes, as necessary, to ensure ongoing support of product life cycles can continue where possible. Any impact on our customers will be reported in a timely fashion.
